Hey everyone. There is this awesome band out there called Kraftwerk, they are
a legendary electronic music band, who made songs like the robots and the
model. What do you like about this band? Post your thoughts

The track Radio Activity/radio activit if you have the German version. I love how they throw the words in the track on there in Morse Code. Such a cool effect!

Radio Activity is fun, as are Trans-Europe Express, Autobon, and many others. Some other electronica bands/artists of the 70s and 80s I like include Jean Michelle Jarre, Orbital and Tangerine Dream. Speaking of incorporating Morse and shortwave sounds in music, there's lots of them on Bords of Canada's "Camp- Fire Head Phase" album. I've heard some am-tor packets, 'cq' calls, and sounds I cannot readily identify. Daniellikestrains, anyplace where we can hear your beat boxing efforts?

Where can one find this German version of Radio Activity?

Little to say other than they have had a huge influence on bands such as Joy Division/New Order, as well as old school hip hop groups like Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five and Africa Bombata.

They are great. A few of their albums once made up a small percentage of my CD collection, until I got rid of it. Unfortunately nothing so unique as their sound has come out in decades.

Matt: I'm not sure, I have a rip of a CD that I bought in Germany. Not sure you can get it in the US.
